Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o delivered a keynote address to the 2016-17 cohort of the Next Generation Social Sciences in Africa fellows during a recent SSRC Next Gen workshop in Nairobi, Kenya. A leading political scientist and a senior member of Kenya’s Parliament, he urges academics to hone their craft so that they might help fashion a better basis for knowledge and more astute theoretical approaches for practical action in the world and in African countries.
